WellComp’s “best in class” network strategy means our clients have access to more than 700,00 providers throughout the United States in our comprehensive, national Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), Rockport Healthcare Group, as well as other national, regional and specialty networks. We can also create custom networks or panels to meet our clients specific preferences or regulatory requirements. 

The medical professionals in our networks understand the complexities of treating work-related injuries and illnesses. They understand the value of early intervention, how to work with employers to develop return-to-work guidelines and industry-specific treatment protocols. As important as the expertise we offer is the savings we bring to our clients.

WellComp’s sophisticated bill repricing system has the capability to access Rockport and multiple other provider networks based on the needs of each individual client. We work with our clients to perform comprehensive network analyses to identify opportunities which maximize overall network savings. This may include a review of our clients’ medical bills, geographic locations, specialty provider needs and more – all geared to ensuring we activate the best network configuration for each client. 

We also assist clients in increasing savings by providing access to channeling tools. These tools provide listings of nearby network providers for any location. 

To ensure that our clients realize true savings on each bill, WellComp applies PPO discounts only after fee schedule, and usual and customary reductions have been applied. The explanation of benefits document indicates the PPO network used for that bill. This detailed communication helps medical providers to quickly see which contractual relationship is  tied to the services listed.
